Core TCG Utilities

One of the challenges for applications providers to take advantage of the benefits of the TPM has historically been in managing the TPM itself. Now, with the NTRU Core TCG Utilities (CTU), applications can simply utilize a small number of API calls to obtain rich management control over the TPM and enable wide accessibility of TPM services across the platform. The CTU enables the full feature set in all of the NTRU TCG Middleware Suite (TMS) components and provides TPM management, user management and key management. NTRU CTU features include:

• Administrative user management
• Standard user management
• User and administrator password management capabilities
• TPM initialization
• TPM status monitoring
• TPM usage policy management
• Key establishment and initialization for the use of the NTRU TCG-enabled MSCAPI CSP (TCSP)
• Key establishment and initialization for the use of the NTRU TCG-enabled PKCS #11 CSP (TPKCS #11)
• Policy management for TPKCS #11 token management
• Backup and restore of all TPM keys
• Migration of TPM keys to and from other platforms

The NTRU CTU is operational on both Linux and Windows platforms and supports all standard 1.1b and 1.2 TPMs.
